The trailer of Priyadarshi, Vennela Kishore and Roopa Koduvayur-fronted Sarangapani Jathakam, written and directed by Indraganti Mohanakrishna, was released at an event in Hyderabad on Wednesday and it promises an exciting blend of humour, romance and chaos (lots of it).
A little over two minutes, the trailer opens with Saranga (Priyadarshi) who is a staunch believer in astrology and who leads his life according to his horoscope for the day. He is madly in love with Mythili (Roopa), who is in a high position at a car sales showroom. She reciprocates and when everything is set for his wedding, he develops cold feet due to astrology. While not much of the plot is revealed later, the resultant chaos that ensues due to him postponing the wedding seems to form the crux of the story.
Summing up, the trailer is filled with hilarious moments and both Priyadarshi and Vennela Kishore share a great chemistry, inducing laughs at the drop of a hat thanks to the scenarios they seem themselves in. Add Harsha Chemudu to the mix, the humour goes next level. The trio is on fire! Indraganti’s command over humour writing is visible, especially with some of his cheeky one-liners (for eg the good touch, bad touch line by VK towards the end). With some serious laughs, madness and moments that’ll tug at our heartstrings, this one promises to be a cool entertainer this summer.
Also featuring Avasarala Srinivas, Tanikella Bharani, Sivannarayana, Ashok Kumar, Raja Chembolu, Vadlamani Srinivas, Pradeep Rudra, Ramesh Reddy, Kalpalatha, Roopa Lakshmi, Harshini and KLK Mani in supporting roles, Sarangapani Jathakam is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under his Sridevi Movies, while Vivek Sagar is the music composer. It sails into cinemas on April 25th.
