While his passion project with Ravi Teja and Vishwak Sen might have hit a roadblock, writer-director Sandeep Raj, who made a splash with Colour Photo, which went on to win National award, has moved on, and has even recently announced his next, Mowgli, with People Media Factory. To feature Rajeev Kanakala and Suma Kanakala’s son Roshan, who made his debut with Bugglegum last year, the film is a musical love story.

Sources say Sandeep is planning to take the film to floors in December and he is in the process of zeroing in on his leading lady, who is crucial to the film’s plot, just like Chandini Chowdary in his debut film. The makers have already announced the film for summer next year. Sandeep is repeating Kaala Bhairava for the music of this film as well.

On the other hand, we’ve also learnt that Sandeep is taking the next chapter in his personal life. “He is getting engaged to Chandini Rao who played a small role in Colour Photo. They’ve been in a steady relationship for the last four years. The engagement is scheduled to take place in Visakhapatnam on November 11, while the wedding will be held in Tirupati on December 7. A reception will follow soon after in Hyderabad for his industry friends,” a source told us.
