Padma Kasturirangan has been promoted to the position of Head of South, India Originals, at Prime Video. Since joining the platform two years ago, she has worked with leading creators to develop an impressive slate of Telugu content.
Padma’s journey in the entertainment industry began after completing her film studies at New York University. She launched her career at Annapurna Film School in Hyderabad and later transitioned to Tamada Media, where she led the long-form content division, creating and managing several original intellectual properties and regional projects. Before joining Prime Video, she briefly served at Zee5, overseeing Telugu Originals.
At Prime Video, Padma has curated a diverse slate of upcoming shows and films, including the recent success of The Rana Daggubati Show, which has been well-received by audiences.
In her new role, Padma aims to scale up the Tamil and Telugu Originals programs, bringing engaging and innovative stories to audiences.
