Kiran Abbavaram’s KA trailer was delayed by more than 12 hours but it was certainly worth the wait when the makers dropped it earlier today. It promises a gripping mystery drama and seems to be focusing on the journey of an ordinary man thrust into extraordinary circumstances.

The 2:45- minute trailer introduces Kiran as Vasudev, a postman who is assigned to a new village. The specialty of the village situated between two hills is that darkness descends upon it as soon as the clock strikes 3 pm. Vasu soon falls in love with a village belle (Nayan Sarika) and tries his best to woo her. And she falls for him, with their romance taking centrestage for a while. Things take a turn when we are introduced to a mysterious man, who later questions Vasu on a particular letter dating April 22, 1977. He wants to know the contents of the letter. The rest of the trailer takes a thrilling and action route with Vasu tying a kerchief around his face to take on a volley of adversaries. Characters like Ajay and Achyth Kumar are also introduced, adding a layer of suspense to the narrative. While directors Sujith and Sandeep avoid revealing the major conflict, the trailer ends on a high note with Vasudev going on a butchering spree.

Overall, Kiran’s character shift from a modest existence to a life filled with unknown dangers seems to form the crux of the story. As the narrative unfolds, we can expect an adrenaline-pumping experience with jaw-dropping action sequences and visually stunning camera work with rich production values. The trailer offers a tantalizing peek into a world fraught with danger, violence and chaos, setting the stage for Kiran to become a hero. The background score by Sam CS is thumping and amps up the suspense quotient.

A production venture of Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy under Srichakraas Entertainments, KA blazes into cinemas on October 31.
