Telugu actress Sumaya Reddy is making her debut as a heroine, producer, and writer with the film Dear Uma, releasing on April 18th. The film stars Prithvi Amber in the male lead role. Nagesh has worked as the line producer, and Nithin Reddy as the executive producer. The screenplay, dialogues, and direction are by Sai Rajesh Mahadev. Renowned cinematographer Raj Thota, known for his stunning visuals, has handled the camera work, and blockbuster music composer Radhan has composed the music. The pre-release event for the movie took place on Wednesday as part of its promotions.

Speaking at the event, Sumaya Reddy said: “I feel very proud to represent Anantapur. From the moment we broke the coconut to the moment we broke the pumpkin, the media stood by us – thank you for your support. The media is the true chief guest of our event. Sai Rajesh garu has already conveyed everything I wanted to say. Telugu girls are finally stepping more into the industry. I’ve taken a bold step forward by producing this film, and I hope to receive everyone's support. A short film I wrote and directed earlier was well received. Later, I worked again with Sai Rajesh garu on Dear Uma. Thanks to Madhu and Chakravarthy for standing by me. It’s because of Naveen garu that Radhan sir came on board. Everyone worked on this project like it was their dream project. Just like there’s a woman behind every man’s success, there’s also often a man behind a woman’s success – Nagesh has been with me since day one of this journey. Prithvi Amber, the lead actor, stated: “It’s been a pleasure working on Dear Uma. Thanks to the entire team for their support. Everyone here appreciated my previous film Dia. Director Sai Rajesh said: “Our team has worked incredibly hard on Dear Uma. I had previously worked on Burra Katha as an associate and met Sumaya Reddy there. Later, we collaborated on a short film. During the COVID lockdown, she wrote a story that I loved, and that’s how Dear Uma began. We took this story to many people, but it went through many changes. That’s why Sumaya Reddy decided to produce it herself — she wanted to make a film with a strong social message. Slowly, others joined the team. Raj Thota’s cinematography and Radhan’s music have turned out beautifully. Sumaya Reddy’s performance and Prithvi Amber’s acting will captivate audiences. The film is releasing on April 18. డైరెక్టర్ సాయి రాజేష్ మాట్లాడుతూ .. ‘డియర్ ఉమ చిత్రం కోసం మా టీం అంతా చాలా కష్టపడింది. బుర్రకథ చిత్రానికి అసోసియేట్ డైరెక్టర్ గా పని చేశాను. అక్కడే సుమయ రెడ్డి గారిని కలిశాను. ఆ తరువాత ఓ షార్ట్ ఫిల్మ్‌కి పని చేశాం. కరోనా టైంలో సుమయ రెడ్డి గారు ఓ కథ రాశారు. అది నాకు చాలా నచ్చింది. అలా డియర్ ఉమ చిత్రం మొదలైంది. మేం ఈ కథను నమ్మి చాలా మంది వద్దకు తిరిగాం. కానీ కథలో చాలా మార్పులు చేర్పులు చేయాల్సి వచ్చింది. అందుకే సుమయ రెడ్డి గారే స్వయంగా నిర్మించేందుకు ముందుకు వచ్చారు. సమాజానికి ఓ సందేశాన్ని ఇవ్వాలని ఆమె సినిమాను నిర్మించారు. ఆ తరువాత ఒక్కొక్కరిగా టీంలోకి వచ్చారు. రాజ్ తోట గారి కెమెరా వర్క్ అందరికీ నచ్చుతుంది. రదన్ గారి సంగీతం అద్భుతంగా వచ్చింది. సుమయ రెడ్డి గారి నటన, పృథ్వీ అంబర్ గారి యాక్టింగ్ అందరినీ ఆకట్టుకుంటంది. మా చిత్రం ఏప్రిల్ 18న రాబోతోంది. మా వెనకాల ఎవ్వరూ లేదు. మాకు మీడియా, ఆడియెన్స్ సపోర్ట్ కావాలి. సమాజానికి ఈ సినిమా అవసరం ఉంది. అందుకే చిత్రాన్ని తీశాం. డియర్ ఉమ సినిమాను అందరూ తప్పకుండా చూడండి’ అని అన్నారు.
