Superstar Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie already features a bevy of heavyweights like Akkineni Nagarjuna, Upendra and Soubin Shahir from various south industries in crucial roles. And now lending more star power to the film is none other than Mr Perfectionist Aamir Khan.

While buzz about Lokesh planning a movie with Aamir in the near future is yet to fade off, this new bit of fans has left fans of both Hindi and south industries excited. Going by the reports, Lokesh has envisioned a whacky and powerful cameo for Aamir in Coolie and the actor, who usually takes aeons to green-lit a project, loved it so much that he decided to allocate dates immediately for it. The fact that he has immense respect for Thalaivar was another reason, reports add. He will be shooting for his part from October 15 in Chennai.

Believed to be based on gold smuggling, Coolie, backed by Chennai-based production house Sun Pictures, is the 171st film of Rajinikanth’s career.

Anirudh Ravichander is composing music for the film, continuing his association with Lokesh after Master and Leo, which Anbumani and Arivumani, popularly known as Anbariv, are choreographing stunts, with Philomin Raj tasked with editing.
