The trailer of Trinadha Rao Nakkina’s maiden production venture, Chaurya Paatam, was unveiled at an event in Hyderabad on Wednesday and it gives away the fact the film will be an out and out entertainer full of laughs, a touch of romance and action.
Roughly two-and-a-half minutes in length, the trailer opens with a group of four men (led by Indhra Ram) plotting to loot a bank in the guise of documentary filmmakers. They’ve identified Dhanapalli Grameena Bank in a village for the purpose and as they begin their recce, the leader feels the necessity of adding one more member to the group: this time around a female (Payal Radhakrishna). And as they set out to accomplish their mission, chaos ensues, resulting in a series of not-so pleasant moments that they’ve never imagined in their lives.
In conclusion, the trailer wastes no time in establishing the plot and the wacky nature of the characters initially results in hilarity. And as the group embarks on the heist, the situations they see themselves generate fun, guaranteeing laugh-a-minute. In fact, the humour in this heist comedy stems from the motley crew being a bunch of rookies. The trailer is also fused with a passionate love story, as well as crates of drama, ticking all the boxes for what makes a wholesome entertainer. The production values are adequate for a film of this size, while Davzand’s background score complements the rush of the trailer.
The film marks the directorial debut of Nikhil Gollamari, while Eagle director Karthik Gattamneni penned the story. Also featuring Rajeev Kanakala, Edward Pereji, Supriya Aysola, Kreash Raj and Sahadev, Chaurya Paatam arrives in theatres on April 25th.
