JD Chakravarthi’s Telugu directorial debut Homam’s shoot is complete. The unit arranged a press meet on this eve. Jagapati Babu, JD Chakravarthy, Kiran Kumar Koneru and Sakshi Sivanand attended the event. Here are the excerpts –

Speaking on the occasion JD Chakri said, “Jagapati Babu knew me right from the days of Gayam for which I worked in direction department. I narrated this story in five minutes to him and he liked it. I gave him another narration for 15 minutes. He liked the treatment, but expressed his reservations about reputation of being arrogant and being overtly possessive about heroines. I clarified him. I did a negative role in this film and I am very egoistic about my acting abilities. After watching Jagapati’s performance in this film,I felt that he is a great actor than me. Homam is an emotional action film.”

Jagapati Babu said, “When JD narrated the story I asked him who is going to direct it. And it took me a few days for JD to convince me that he is going to direct. JD worked on the script for one and half years. As a director he goes into the details of each and every shot. Homam too have stylized look like Gayam film. Chakri also has good music sense.”

Producer Kiran Kumar Koneru said, “Chakri is a good friend of me for a long time. Homam is a full-fledged commercial film. We are planning to release the film in the end of April.”
