About
Movie:
|
Anand (Sunny Deol) is the dutiful big brother, son and grandson
and he took over the family business when he was very young.
Now has an empire peddling selling soft drinks. He has a one-track
mind in that he only thinks of his family. His younger brother
Sunil (Apoorva Agnihotri) meets Nisha (Mahima Chaudhary) and
they fall in love. This happens all in a day. Sunil first
met the lady as a proxy for his friend and Nisha met him as
proxy for her friend. Playing role of their friends they ensured
that rejection was a success. Before Sunil and Nisha get time
to tell truth about each other and confess about love, Anand's
family decides he has to get married. After much coy complaint,
he finally buckles. A meeting is arranged and the woman picked
for him turns out to be Nisha. Anand falls for her, but is
refused since she has this thing for someone else. Of course,
she doesn't name her lover. But Sunil decides that he must
sacrifice his grand passion for big brother. He tells Nisha
to give sacrifice of her love. Things trail along till Anand
finally learns out how things lie between the brother and
Nisha. Sunil decides to get them married. Stop yawning there,
we've just about dragged you up to the interval here. This
is where the director finds that there is no action in the
movie with Sunil Deol and so he introduces bunch of villains,
Anand's business rivals, played by Monish Behl, Dalip Tahil
and a couple of other creepy clowns. Trouble follows and Sunil
soon vanishes in a car crash. Anand marries Nisha as she is
pregnant, the typical movie trend. Then she gets a blank call
-- heard by the entire family wherein she's informed that
Anand killed Sunil in order to marry her. Then on the day
of karva chauth -- Sunil comes back. Nisha is left wondering
what to do with two husbands and nothing in her tummy but
a baby. Finally after boring us a lot it ends with typical
Hindi movie end which anybody can guess!

Sunny
Deol adds dignity to the film by his presence, the only person
for which movie can be beared just once. In short waste of Sunny
Deol! This is Mahima's third film and she proves again that
no matter how stupid the subject, she can give a consistent
performance. Apoorva Agnihotri needs a lot to polish up his
act. In Pardes, it was Subhash Ghai who made Apoorva to act
in better way. But to tell the truth Sehgal doesn't qualify.
The family is composed of actors like Reema, Dina Pathak and
Kulbushan Karbhanda. Songs are not good except for 2-3 songs
including the title number and 'Yaad piya ki aani lagi', the
compositions by Jatin-Lalit are okay and more of boring. The
cinematography is average. Seghal named the film Pyar Koi Khel
Nahin, and it has no relation with film! Before making movie
Subhash Seghal was on editing and it is better if we only stick
to that. The tale is old, very old and very common about love,
sacrifice, and the shocking ways of fate. With no way of a story,
the scenes in movie chase each other like episodes in a B-grade
soap. |
