About
Movie:
|
The movie starts with the whole bunch of actors getting together
to celebrate Ramkishen (Alok Nath) and Mamta's (Reema Lagoo)
silver wedding anniversary.
Ramkishan is shown to believe in the traditional Indian values
of getting together. The fantasy of big one family & feel-good
atmosphere is what keeps the audience glued to their seats.Ramkishan
has three sons and one daughter kids(grown up)who share very
close bonds with each other and with their parents.
Eldest son Vinod(Mohnish Behl) marries Sadhana (Tabu) and
the marriage provides another opportunity for much singing
and dress up. Prem (Salman Khan) gets engaged to Preeti (Sonali
Bendre) and the third and youngest Vinod (Saif Ali Khan) falls
in love with Sapna (Karisma Kapoor).Ramkishan dreams of keeping
his entire family always together. The happiness of this picture
perfect family is disturbed when the only sister (Neelam)
and her husband (Mahesh Thakur) are thrown out of their house
due to some family dispute by their brother. The whole family
is extremely upset over Sangeeta's (Neelam) condition and
Mamata starts thinking that may be this can happen too in
our family...remember kaikai in Ramayan..now the movie is
nineteenth century's Rammayan in which Vinod,Sadhana and Vinod
goes to live in village in thier Haveli and then Bharat(prem)
makes his mother realized what has been she doing and then
all crisis are gone and once again family is together.

The
performances were pretty good from the whole cast, except, of
course, Salman Khan, who had maybe ten minutes of solo Dialogue. It
is good to see that the underrated actors like Mohnish Behl
and Saif Ali Khan got a chance to prove themselves. Out of the
heroines, Neelam was the only one with a scope to really perform,
and although her role is not the biggest, she looks very good
and has done a good job.Sonali, Karisma, and Tabu don't really
do much, but look good doing it.
The movie is just a worse of Hum Apke hai Kaun, minus Madhuri
and Laxmikant berde. Hum Apke hain Kaun and Maine Pyar Kiya
were absolute winners on account of their excellent music. This
is where Hum Saath Saath Hain falls way below the comparision. The
two previos movies were better in every way... but HSSH is bit
boring with no story except good dresses and occasions were
songs pop up.
The plot was totally boring and I could not see the point of
this movie. Barjatya is copying Ramayan in some parts of the
story. Director Sooraj Barjatya has really strived hard to give
us another mega entertainer but the weak story line and the
uninspired music just stop the movie from being a mega-hit.
Not worth seeing Movie...Yaar... |
